History Made in Arizona: Two African American Women Crowned Miss Arizona USA™ and Miss Arizona Teen USA™

Phoenix, AZ — The Miss Arizona USA™ and Miss Arizona Teen USA™ Pageants have made history this past weekend, September 6–7, 2025, with the crowning of two extraordinary young women who will represent the Grand Canyon State at the national competition in Las Vegas this October.

From Maricopa, Miss Eternity Hickman was crowned Miss Arizona Teen USA™, while Elexes Richardson of North Scottsdale was named Miss Arizona USA™. Both dynamic women bring intelligence, grace, and beauty to the stage—and together, their back-to-back wins mark a historic moment as two African American queens will carry Arizona’s banner onto the national stage.

Miss Hickman is celebrated not only for her poise but also for her community commitment. She is a proud mentee of Mrs. Black Globe North America, Kim Moody, a respected pageant coach and longtime queen who has helped shape young women into leaders both on and off the stage.

Miss Richardson, hailing from North Scottsdale, is already being recognized for her trailblazing achievement and the inspiration she offers to young women across Arizona and beyond.

The Arizona community is proud to support Miss Hickman and Miss Richardson as they embark on this next chapter. Their victories underscore the strength, elegance, and resilience of women making an impact through pageantry.

As they prepare to compete in Las Vegas this October, Arizona looks forward to cheering them on—not only for their performances but also for the example they set as ambassadors of beauty, culture, and achievement.
