Hundreds Unite in Chandler to Advance Wellness and Community Resources
Ready Set Go Foundation’s fifth annual walk turned awareness into action, bringing residents, local organizations, and elected leaders together in support of mental wellbeing.

CHANDLER, Ariz. — October 19, 2026 — Hundreds gathered Saturday, October 17, at New Square Downtown Chandler for the Ready Set Go Foundation’s 5th Annual Mental Wellbeing Walk. Residents and community organizations came together to raise awareness, share resources, and celebrate the people helping individuals and families across the region.
The event offered a welcoming space for connection, movement and community support. Attendees enjoyed activities, including a ribbon-cutting and music, while connecting with local organizations and learning about available community resources. Elected officials from Chandler, Tempe and Gilbert joined the gathering.
“What began as a call to raise awareness has become a powerful community movement,” said Honorable OD Harris, founder of the Ready Set Go Foundation. “Mental wellbeing matters in every neighborhood and every family. When we gather, share resources and encourage one another, we help build a community where people know they are not alone.”
Ready Set Go Foundation Executive Director Lisa Grayer said the walk reflects the strength of people coming together to support one another.
“Every person who joined us helped send a message that mental wellbeing deserves attention, compassion and community support,” Grayer said. “We are grateful to the organizations that shared resources, the volunteers who served, and everyone who helped make this a welcoming space for our community.”
The foundation recognized the Micaiah E. Thomas Memorial Fund as Partner of the Year and Lisa Grayer as Volunteer of the Year. Mental Wellbeing Champion honorees included Leah Powell, Terri Kimble, Lalo Boy Foundation, the City of Chandler Homeless Solutions Team, Nikki Tapia and La Frontera EMPACT.

The walk received formal recognition through commendations from Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs and Congressman Greg Stanton, and a proclamation from Chandler Mayor Kevin Hartke.
Ready Set Go Foundation thanked presenting sponsor Michael A. Pollack and Mental Health Champion sponsors Grad Solutions and Iwantmydiploma.com, along with the volunteers, participating organizations, and supporters who helped make the event possible.
Founded in 2014, Ready Set Go Foundation educates and empowers people pursuing business ownership and workforce opportunities while promoting mental well-being. The annual walk brings the community together to build awareness, foster connection, and expand access to support.
