Empowering Phoenix: Sylvia White and Antonio Lara join Chase’s Community Manager team to boost financial health

Sylvia White and Antonio Lara recently joined Chase as the newest community managers serving the greater Phoenix metropolitan area. Along with seasoned Community Manager Christian Romero, this team is part of the 150 Community Managers JPMorganChase has hired across the country to work with the local communities to help increase awareness of and access to financial health education, tools and services.

Chase Community Managers, often local residents themselves, work closely with neighborhood leaders and businesses, focus on understanding the challenges each community faces and design programs to address those challenges through a variety of ways. Chase aims to bring more community managers to local branches, all committed to empowering Arizonans to enhance their financial health.

These individuals host regular workshops – free of charge and open to the public – that focus on a wide range of topics like building a budget, saving for a down payment, and credit health while finding the right products and services to support individuals’ financial health goals.

White is a seasoned financial advisor with more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry and serving her community. She was a personal financial advisor at Chase before taking on the community manager role. Prior to that, she worked in various management roles at Bank of America, State Farm, Edward Jones and Vanguard. She received a finance degree from Howard University. Lara, who is bilingual, is a seasoned banker with more than 18 years of experience in the financial services industry. He has held numerous positions in financial services, most recently as a branch manager. Antonio’s extensive experience has given him a deep understanding of the financial landscape, establishing him as a trusted leader in building strong community relationships and delivering exceptional service. Outside of work, Antonio enjoys spending time with his family and three kids, and he pursues his passion for fishing and the outdoors whenever possible.
