Not only is Juneteenth a vital celebration for the Black Diaspora it also marks a powerful milestone for the Black Theatre Troupe. The week of Juneteenth 1970 saw the company begin preparations for their first fully realized season which opened in September 1970 with Lonnie Elder’s Ceremonies in Dark Old Men.
Come join us as we celebrate our upcoming Fifty-Seventh Season and honor the resilience forged in the hearts of those who celebrated the first Juneteenth, on whose shoulders we stand today.
Enjoy the spirit and power of community as some of your BTT favorite actors share previews of our 26-27 season. This will be the first opportunity for you to purchase your season tickets at a special Early Bird Discount.
Enjoy light refreshments and connect with fellow BTT supporters at this special event!
