Empowering Youth Through Financial Literacy: A Community Partnership

We are excited to share that our Children’s Financial Literacy Workshop has successfully completed its first cohort, and we are now diving into cohort two! This initiative, in partnership with AZCAAR, House of Miracles, Inc. an Empower Foundation, aims to equip young learners with essential financial skills that will serve them well into the future. The curriculum included important topics such as credit and debit management, savings strategies, housing stability, workforce development, and entrepreneurship to encourage creativity and innovation. To make learning engaging we incorporated interactive methods like flashcards and memory games, ensuring that the lessons were not only informative but fun! At the Completion Ceremony each child received a ChromeBook, and their Completion Certificate, celebrating their hard work and dedication. To make the day even more special, we hosted a fun pizza party where families could come together and celebrate this important milestone. In addition, parents were recognized for their support with a grocery store gift card reinforcing our commitment to fostering not just financial literacy in children, but also strengthening family well-being.
Beginning in April, we will kick off cohort three at the First Institutional Baptist Church, further expanding our reach within the community. Our collaboration with AZCAAR has been instrumental in providing the resources and support needed to make this program impactful.

Through engaging lessons and hands-on activities, we are fostering a generation that understands the value of money management, savings, and budgeting. As we continue this journey, we remain committed to empowering our youth and ensuring they have the financial knowledge to thrive!
