As we Praise God and thank Dr. Warren H. Stewart, Sr, for his 48 years of leadership to FIBC and the Phoenix Community, we also celebrate a new chapter in our church family by welcoming our newly elected senior pastor, Dr. Robert Ty Jones.

Dr. Robert “Ty” Jones is a native of Memphis, Tennessee, where he accepted the call to Gospel ministry at the age of 16 under the loving leadership and pastoral guidance of his father, The Rev. Robert C. Jones, Senior Pastor of Keel Avenue Baptist Church and Hill Chapel Baptist Church, both in Memphis.
Affectionately known as Pastor Ty, he is deeply committed to the great responsibility of ministry and the transformative message of Jesus Christ. Through diligent study and unwavering devotion, he continues to answer God’s call to preparation and preaching the Word.
Pastor Ty is known for his profound love of the Word of God and his sound, solid message of “Love, Life, and the Liberty of Jesus Christ.” He is a powerful man of God, ever evolving and growing in his calling to serve the Kingdom.
We are equally blessed to welcome Nakeisha Jones, who will serve alongside her husband, bringing her own gifts and graces to our church family.
This pastoral installation marks a new chapter in the life of First Institutional Baptist Church.
