Councilman OD Harris Leads Peaceful Protest to “Stop the Violence and Spread Love” in Downtown Chandler
Chandler, AZ – On Monday, Downtown Chandler became the backdrop for a heartfelt demonstration as Councilman OD Harris led an all-day protest calling for peace in the wake of recent shootings plaguing the nation.
The event, which Harris titled “Stop the Violence and Spread Love”, carried a simple yet powerful message: turn down the negative rhetoric and focus on hope, unity, and community healing.
“Our community – and our country – is hurting,” said Councilman Harris. “Today is about bringing people together to stand against hate and violence. Even small acts of kindness can create a ripple effect of change.”
Throughout the day, residents gathered to show their support. Some held handmade signs, others created new ones on-site, while many stood alongside Harris to cheer and lend their voices to the cause.
