
Piper Fellows Program: Advancing Nonprofit Leadership in Maricopa County
The Piper Fellows Program—offered annually by the Virginia G. Piper Charitable Trust—is a prestigious opportunity empowering nonprofit leaders in Maricopa County. Each year, up to six fellows are selected to receive a $30,000 professional development grant, plus $10,000 for staff/board development, and eligibility for a $50,000 Organizational Enhancement Award to implement strategic improvements
Who Should Apply?
Nonprofit leaders who:
- Work full-time in nonprofits (501(c)(3)) serving Maricopa County for at least 10 years
- Have a minimum of 7 years of experience in the nonprofit sector
- Demonstrate strong leadership, oversee significant programs or operations, and are planning a self-designed sabbatical or development plan

- A sabbatical-style fellowship to explore, learn, and reflect
- Funding for personal study, travel, training, and respite

2025 Timeline:
