
For the month of June, Phoenix and cities across Arizona have plenty of Juneteenth events happening in the Valley. Here’s a list of celebrations you might want to check out.
- 5th Annual RYBE Juneteenth Freedom Celebration
Right in the heart of downtown Phoenix at the Arizona Center, Rep Your Brand Enterprise (RYBE) is hosting its 5th annual Juneteenth celebration on Sunday, June 15, from 2 to 8 p.m. The event includes live entertainment such as drum and dance performances, music, comedy, a Grammy-nominated saxophonist, and a comedian. There will also be indoor roller skating by Zoni Girls, stilt walkers, a Black art exhibition, and educational activities. Make sure to order your free ticket on Eventbrite before June 15. - Chandler’s Culture Music in the Park
It’s a little farther out, but you don’t want to miss Chandler’s Culture Music in the Park on Saturday, June 14, from 7 to 9:30 p.m. at Dr. A.J. Chandler Park. The event features performances by Vaughn Willis and Phoenix-based band Ear Candy. It will be hosted by the newly-crowned Ms. Juneteenth.

- Maricopa Juneteenth Festival 2025:
At Central Arizona College on Saturday, June 21, from 2 to 6 p.m., Maricopa County is hosting its 2025 Juneteenth Festival, featuring music, food and live entertainment. This event has free entry and parking.

- 21st Annual Valley of the Sun Juneteenth Celebration:
This event hosted by the Black Rodeo USA Foundation has been a tradition in the Valley for more than 20 years. Celebrate on Saturday, June 14, from 5 to 9 p.m. at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church with live performances, workshops, kids’ activities, arts and crafts, games, and prizes for all ages.

- Juneteenth Evening Festival at the Desert Botanical Garden
On Tuesday, June 10, from 6 to 9 p.m., enjoy a free evening at the Desert Botanical Garden. The event includes local entertainment, food vendors, games, and other family-friendly activities.

- 12th Annual Juneteenth Celebration in Tempe
Hosted by the African American Advisory Committee at the Tempe History Museum from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., this event will feature live performers, food vendors, public safety vehicles, and even a video game trailer!

- Juneteenth Block Party
This evening event takes place on Saturday, June 14, from 7 to 11 p.m., at Centerpoint Plaza. Enjoy a lineup full of Arizona natives, including emcee Tari Tobin, DJs Deejay Panic and DJ Akshen, and poet Urban Poet. A dance battle hosted by Furious Styles Crew is also open to the public.

- Juneteenth Celebration from Arizona Historical Society
On Father’s Day and again on Saturday, June 21, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the Arizona Historical Society will host a day of performances and activities at the Arizona Heritage Center. Admission is free.

- Carver’s Juneteenth Festival
At another local museum, the George Washington Carver Museum and Cultural Center is hosting their Juneteenth Festival on June 14, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. There will be entertainment, arts and crafts, local vendors, and much more.

- The Family Reunion: A Juneteenth Celebration at The Archwood at Eastlake in Phoenix
On Thursday, June 19, from noon to 9 p.m., don’t miss this celebration in the Eastlake Park neighborhood. Enjoy live music from local Black artists, DJ sets from DJ Pootie Cat, and the 1st Annual AZ Chicken Wing Showdown. There will also be family-friendly activities, local vendors, a petting area with horses, and more.
